Ergonomic risk assessment from a phone video
Film the task, drop it in, and get REBA and RULA scores with a posture overlay in minutes. The AI runs in your browser, so the footage never leaves your device.

Scores you can defend, built on the methods safety professionals already use
REBA
Hignett & McAtamney, 2000
RULA
McAtamney & Corlett, 1993
NIOSH Lifting Equation
Waters et al., 1993
OSHA incident rates
BLS 2024 benchmarks
How it works
From a 20-second clip to a risk score
- Step 1
Film the task
Any phone, side-on, whole body in view. A single photo works too.
- Step 2
AI measures the posture
Pose detection tracks 33 body landmarks and calculates trunk, neck, arm, wrist and knee angles.
- Step 3
Get scores and a report
REBA and RULA from the published tables. Confirm load and grip, then print or save the PDF.
AI posture analysis
Measured joint angles, not guesses with a protractor
Upload a photo or a short clip. The analyzer finds the body landmarks, measures every angle REBA and RULA need, and for video it scores the frames across the clip and jumps to the worst moment.
- Trunk, neck, upper arm, elbow, wrist and knee angles
- You confirm what a camera can't see: load, grip and wrist twist
- Correct any angle before it's scored

Explainable scores
Every score shows its working
No black-box risk index. ViveLab applies the original REBA, RULA and NIOSH scoring rules, tested cell by cell against the published worksheets, and shows each table look-up so you can defend the result.
- Full REBA and RULA breakdown: posture scores, load, coupling, activity
- NIOSH lifting equation with every multiplier
- OSHA TRIR, DART and LTIR compared with the BLS average

Safety program toolkit
Everything else your safety program runs on
Beyond posture scores: write job safety analyses, plan a year of toolbox talks and track incident rates, all free and printable.
- JSA / JHA builder with a 5 × 5 risk matrix, PDF and CSV export
- 63 toolbox talks with sign-in sheets, plus a safety topic of the day
- A 4-week toolbox talk plan for every month of the year

Your footage never leaves the device
Recording workers raises fair privacy questions. The AI model runs inside the browser, so videos are processed locally and never uploaded. That makes sign-off from workers, unions and IT much easier.

Frequently asked questions
What does ViveLab do?
ViveLab estimates ergonomic risk from a photo or video of a work task. It detects the worker's posture with AI, measures joint angles and scores them with the published REBA and RULA methods, then gives you a printable report. It also offers free calculators for REBA, RULA, the NIOSH lifting equation, desk and monitor height.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The pose-detection model runs inside your browser, so photos and videos stay on your device. We never receive or store your footage.
How accurate is AI posture analysis?
Pose estimation works well for large joints such as the trunk, shoulders, elbows and knees, especially from a side view. It is less reliable for wrists, hidden limbs and depth. ViveLab shows every detected angle and lets you correct or confirm inputs, and results should be reviewed by a competent person before use in a formal assessment.
Which assessment methods are supported?
The AI analyzer produces REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) and RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) scores. The free tools also include the Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation, an industrial ergonomic checklist and an office workstation self-assessment.
How much does it cost?
The analyzer and every calculator are free during early access. Pro ($49/month) and Team ($199/month) plans with saved assessments, task libraries and branded reports are planned — join the early-access list to be notified.
Who is ViveLab for?
EHS and safety managers at factories, warehouses and job sites, ergonomics and occupational-health consultants, operations leaders, and HR teams supporting office and remote workers.
